This is the best keto salad, hands down. While some people opt to forgo salads on keto, I love salad. In fact, call me crazy but salad is my ice cream.
A perfectly balanced salad makes me happy.
And this is a salad that will make you happy, too.
What makes this the best keto salad?
For starters, the ingredients are fresh and unadulterated. You don’t need to cook a bunch of different things to make this meal fantastic. In fact, you don’t need to cook anything at all, if you don’t want to. Rotisserie chickens and bacon crumbles are your friends.
But what sets this apart as the best keto salad is texture. The Napa cabbage gives this whole salad crunch. Which is something the keto diet frequently lacks.
The best keto salad is a meal itself
Some people think salad is an appetizer or side. This salad can stand alone. With bacon, chicken, and blue cheese, you get enough fat and protein to feel full.
But the Napa cabbage is low in calories and carbs. So you get extra texture and satisfaction without blowing your macros for the day.
And these ingredients are versatile
Although I want to eat this salad for each and every meal, if you’d prefer to switch things up these ingredients are very easy to repurpose.
Napa cabbage is an amazing base for keto egg roll in a bowl.
Bacon, obviously, goes with everything.
Kalamata olives make a great salty snack on their own.
Cucumbers are a great keto snack with sour cream or another keto dip.
And blue cheese is delicious. You might even add some to your keto mac n cheese.
But the best thing about this salad?
The best thing is that you don’t need to be keto to love this salad. It is so tasty. You can serve it as a meal or side when entertaining non-keto guests. It’s a great dish to bring to a potluck, too, since the cabbage can withstand travel.
