If you’re on a parent on a keto diet, meal times can be challenging. A lot of times, we would wind up making carbs for the kids and a separate meal for us. But that quickly became exhausting.
Keto challenges
We’re not alone. Making low-carb, sugar-free food can be a challenge. Most quick and easy meals are not keto. And although scrambled eggs for dinner is a fan favorite around here, we don’t necessarily want to eat breakfast for dinner every night.
When coming up with this list, we thought of classic, comfort-food recipes the whole family loves. Then we took the carbs and sugar out of those recipes. Yay!
Keto prep recommendations
For all of these recipes, we recommend making a double batch that you can heat or reheat later in the week. If you have a FoodSaver or other vacuum sealing device, you might want to make some keto pizza ahead of time, then freeze and reheat during busy weeks.
Keto, but you can add in some carbs
While our kids don’t have a limited diet, it’s easier to have a low-carb option the whole family enjoys. Sometimes, we’ll serve a keto meal with some whole grain bread or additional veggies for the kids. It’s easier than making entirely separate meals.
Without further ado, here are a few of our favorite recipes. We hope you enjoy these keto family-friendly recipes. All are great for a crowd! Which one is your favorite?
